FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

Accounts, payments, cards and refunds. If something is missing, the contact page reaches a person.

Getting started

A prepaid virtual card: a card number, expiry date, security code and billing details that you can enter at online checkouts. It holds the balance you chose when ordering, and you can spend up to that amount. It is not linked to a bank account.

An email address, an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Aegis) and some crypto to pay with. You must be at least 18 and not located in a sanctioned country.

Your account holds card details, and a password on its own is easy to steal. With two-factor authentication, a stolen password is useless without your phone. Every customer and every staff member must use it, and it cannot be turned off.

Paying

The options available right now are listed in the network selector on the pricing page and on the order form. Depending on what is enabled, you either pay on a hosted crypto checkout page or send USDT to a wallet address shown in your dashboard. Always use exactly the network shown next to the address.

You pay the card balance, plus a $5.00 issuance fee and a 15% load fee on the balance. The full total appears before you pay and is fixed as soon as the order is created. There are no monthly or hidden charges.

You do. The amount that arrives must match the order total, so if your exchange deducts its fee from the amount you send, add that fee on top. Most exchanges show the "amount received" before you confirm the withdrawal.

If less than the total arrives, the order is flagged and cannot be completed as it is. Open a support ticket and we will help you settle the difference or return the payment. Crypto sent on a different network or to a different address may be lost for good, so double-check before you confirm.

Yes. Open the order under "My Orders" and choose "Continue to payment". The order keeps the price that was locked when you created it.

Your order

Once your payment is confirmed, a team member usually issues the card within a few hours. You can follow each step on the order page, and we email you as soon as the card has been issued.

Your payment has been confirmed and the order is in the queue for a team member, who will issue the card and add it to your account. You do not need to do anything else.

The order page and the email we send both explain the reason. The usual cause is a payment that arrived short. Reply through a support ticket and we will work out the next step with you.

Cards

Wherever an online merchant accepts card payments and allows prepaid cards. Some services refuse virtual or prepaid cards; that decision belongs to the merchant, so check first if a specific site matters to you.

Go to "My Cards" and choose "Reveal details", then enter the current code from your authenticator app. The details stay visible for one minute and then hide again.

No. Each card is issued with a fixed balance. If you need more, order another card — many customers like keeping one card per service anyway.

A card may be frozen to protect you or while unusual activity is checked. A frozen card cannot be used until it is unfrozen. You will receive an email when its status changes, and support can tell you more.

Refunds

Card balance can be refunded in two cases. An unused card is refunded in full. A used card is refunded only if at least $500.00 remains; the card is then closed and you receive the balance minus a 10% commission. Fees are never refunded. The Refund Policy has the details.

In crypto, to the address and network you enter on the refund request. Check them carefully: a payout sent to the details you provide cannot be pulled back.

Security

We keep card numbers, security codes and expiry dates encrypted at rest, and you see them only after entering a new authenticator code. Payment screenshots you upload are stored privately and only staff handling your order can open them.

Sign in with one of the recovery codes you saved when you set up two-factor authentication; each code works once. Then open a support ticket so we can reset two-factor authentication and you can connect your new phone. If you lost the codes as well, email support from your account address so we can confirm it is you.

No. Nobody from BuyCryptoCard will ask for your password, authenticator codes, recovery codes or seed phrase, and we never ask you to send crypto anywhere except the payment page of your own order. Treat any such message as a scam.
